Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, today honoured winners of the 12th edition of the Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport 2021 (DAST).

The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed an exclusive operation agreement for providing taxi and limousine services to visitors of the Global Village. The agreement takes effect from 26 October 2021 when the new season of the Global Village, is scheduled to start. Mansoor Rahma Al Falasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Corporation, and Bader Anwahi, Chief Executive Officer, Global Village, signed the agreement.

His Excellency Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) endorsed Dubai Taxi Corporation’s (DTC) Strategic Plan 2021-2023. The plan updates the vision of the corporation which became: "Pioneers in Safe and Sustainable Digital Transport Services." The plan consists of 6 corporate values, 5 strategic goals, and 11 strategic objectives measured by 23 indices. The plan encompasses 51 improvement initiatives.

Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) at Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has increased the number of school buses in operation during the upcoming school year 2021-2022 to as many as 440 buses. Beefing up the fleet aims to provide safe and smooth school transport services for students of different ages and encourage parents to switch to school buses rather than private vehicles in lifting their children to and from schools.

Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has fitted its smart control and data analysis centre with ultra-modern technologies to cover the entire range of DTC’s services to customers. The design of the centre features artificial intelligence technologies to step up the efficiency of operational and monitoring processes of the DTC.

RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) has honoured a team of Dubai Police comprising of 1st Sergeant Abdul Rahman Abdo, 1st Policeman Mahmoud Shukri, and Sargent Shamis Al Shamsi for offering roadside assistance to DTC taxi drivers and cooperating during emergencies and road incidents. The felicitation is a gesture of recognition of the significant role of the team in raising traffic safety levels and protecting the lives and assets of riders and drivers.

Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has added an array of new taxi services to the Dubai Taxi Application (DTC App). Examples of the newly activated services include the People of Determination Taxi, Ladies & Family Taxi, and the Airport Taxi, over and above the luxury limousine services, which had been added to the App since inception in 2019. The move contributes to the vision of the Dubai Taxi to become Pioneers in Safe, Reliable and Smart Transport Services, and its strategic goals: Operational Excellence and Smart Transport.

RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) concluded on June 15th a successful 5-day career fair. The event aimed to attract a wide spectrum of candidates looking for placements as taxi drivers to join the team of DTC fleet drivers that serve clients from all community members.
